To me it's too soon to write it off when the rules are not known.

Good for you. It doesn't look like the type of game I would enjoy. I don't think I'll miss not having it for when I run the DL adventure.

Graygem of Gargath

The gnomes learned of the Graygem's capture, and asked for Gargath to turn the stone back over to them. They were refused and the gnomes made plans to launch a full attack on the Tower of Gargath to capture the Graygem. The gnomes set siege the Tower, and eventually breached the wall. As they were going to capture the Graygem, a bright gray light shone upon the gnomes changing them. Those gnomes that were curious about the gem became kender, and those that wanted to Graygem for money became dwarves. The Graygem then flew off.

1. This is very much reminiscent of playing a moonkin (balance druid) in World of Warcraft, with all the various shifting moon phases.

2. That 6th-level metamagic ability is really neat. I see a lot of players picking New Moon for all the metamagic fun in that. But I have to wonder about Divination being in there twice - Conjuration would make sense (or even Illusion or Enchantment) to replace one of those. Maybe there's a misprint?

A parallel lunar druid subclass is a pretty reasonable idea, given the relationship between the phases of the moon and shapeshifting (i.e. lycanthropy).
