Many have taken to Dungeons & Dragons in therapy and education, and Philip Viljoen has a guide to assist those looking to integrate tabletop RPGs into their treatment and curriculums with Dungeons & Dragons as a Therapeutic and Learning Tool. From the description on Dungeonmasters Guild:
Many D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) players can relate to how this amazing game helped them in times of need. From a much-needed distraction to a way of making friends, D&D has aided the mental health of generations. Thus, it is not surprising that D&D can be taken one step further to become an effective tool for therapy and development.

This guide is meant to assist a DM (Dungeon Master) in creating a D&D game for players with developmental delays, young players and people that find themselves socially isolated. It should be noted that this is not a replacement for therapy but can be used by therapists to achieve therapeutic goals. Even if you are not a therapist, these guidelines are meant to help you create a fun and engaging game, which can be therapeutic in itself.
  • Price: Pay What You Want (Suggested: $2.99)

Humble Bundle and Kobold Press apparently set out the RPG Signal to put together the RPG Worlds Bundle featuring 52 titles from a wide variety of publishers. The base level features the core rules for Castles & Crusades along with an adventure, the 5e adventure City of Cats, the fantasy wild west RPG Tall Tales, and more with the second and third tiers adding even more OSR games and adventures, 5e supplements and campaigns, and original RPG systems ranging from fantasy to sci-fi to horror to the old west to 1920s gangsters.

Okay, it’s a video game bundle with no ties to TTRPGs, but I have to mention the Wadjet Eye Games Bundle of point-and-click adventure video games. The bundle includes highly-rated and award winning games like the urban fantasy Unavowed, the supernatural mystery Blackwell series, and the post-apocalyptic Shardlight, but I really want to highlight my personal favorite: Technobabylon. Set in a cyberpunk world where genetic engineering is common, the detective Charlie Regis, his partner Max Lao, and an internet addict Latha Sesame get caught up in a plot involving a the memory-stealing serial killer The Mindjacker, the city’s all-seeing AI CEL, and a conspiracy of the most powerful people in the city. It’s also so hilarious I’ve literally injured myself laughing.

  • End Date: February 1, 2023
  • Charity: JDRF (user-defined, default 5%)

That Kobold Press+ bundle is crazy.
It's a great bundle. My eye twitches a little though cuz everytime I see Book of Ebon Tides on there, I'm reminded of how my pre-order from GameNerdz from last year STILL hasn't been delivered yet, despite the book being out already, because my order also had the dice as well.

And since the Dice haven't been produced/released yet (since apparently, it's been an issue on the manufacturer's end IIRC), my order is pretty much held up in quasi-limbo right now. (said order is composed of the book, dice, and the adventure anthology)

I'd cancel it and just go about it another way, but I pre-ordered the fancy looking Limited Edition cover. And since that's all sold out right now, I don't want to lose out on it. Kobold Press does have the dice listed as releasing in January on their website, but I guess we'll see.

I've seen similar feedback on the KS site, sadly. Kobold delivered the books to backers, and are doing the dice separately, but all the pre-orders seem to be waiting to ship all together. You think they would at least offer the option to ship separately.

I took the humble bundle. I like that you can customize how your money is split. Off that Humble has a minimum expressed as a percentage. So if I feel like giving extra to the charity, I have to give extra to humble, too.

Yeah for $30 that's a lot of books. I own a few of them, but it's too bad it's such a hodgepodge of titles and systems or I'd probably buy it. I know that if I do it will take me quite a while to sift through what I'd use and what I probably wouldnt as Im not familiar with most of the books. Then again for $30 its almost too good to pass up and at that price Im sure I could find enough I would use to justify the cost.

Gabba Gabba Hey!
Quick question for anyone who's already bought the "RPG Worlds by Kobold Press" Humble Bundle... Is The Forbidden Caverns of Archaia included in the bundle the OSR version or the 5E version? The thumbnail image is the monochrome cover, which suggests that it's the OSR version, but I wanted to be sure. Thanks!

Actually, it's $25, they just default you to the $30 level.
