Vecna Reign of Terror!!!

Something to loop in older former players and something to bring in Stranger Things fans. They have truly upped their media game, playing on old and new pop-culture like a maestro. The whole D&D Multiverse is the nexus point for pop-culture tie-ins and monetization on a whole new level. It is like WotC just hit a high enough level to start playing the domain game.

It is brilliant and it is bold. Have to give them that.

And Revels Maze is in the new movie? Thats a Planescape Torment shout out.

A lot of cool adventures coming. Wonder if I can convert them to Shadowdark.

I have to admit. I really disliked the style of 5e art. This is actually refreshing, if a bit derivative after Vox Machina broke anime style group before them. Was there someone else who was first?

Oh, I thought you were joking, but the collab is real. It is a master play by Hasbro. The fun fact would be if we see a kid-friendly version of a retold "Dark Sun".

Crossover/collab monster dicelings and bakugan?

About the cartoon song... a clue about future no-fantasy settings? For example Gamma World and Star Frontiers later.

In the past I talked about a possible event in the D&D metaverse, but I had forgotten about those obsidian monoliths. We could bet WotC needed a good excuse to explain the possible reboot of the complete franchise. Even an "updated" (and maybe softer) version of Dark Sund is possible. If it is necessary, you can blame Vecna.

Glad you posted this, I think the song is not to be overlooked. They are absolutely about to break out of the European Fantasy pigeonhole, they want to open up their own options for what to publish but also what they can tie into from other people's IP. The Buck Rogers era ray gun is kind of historically ironic, but looking past that, we see a Delorian! They are clearly saying, "we are breaking into other genres and we are open for business to leverage your IP for you in the medium, both as a TTRPG and our spiffy new VTT. Plus all that Hasbro can bring to the table in merch, collectibles and games.

This, plus the D&D Multiverse clearly show the direction they are going.

What if One D&D is not only about one version of D&D. What if One is really the code name, or even actual name, for a WotC universal RPG system to run across their Metaverse and genres as hinted in the song/video? That would make One D&D the D&D version of WotC's universal RPG system, One.

100% speculation, though it makes sense with what was revealed.
