Level Up (A5E) Rote memorization OP?

Did any of you guys found that rote memorization (scholarly excellence, wizard level 3) when used by "martial wizard" (essentially multiclass with fighter/berserk, what have you) is a bit OP with cantrips such as blade ward and true strike? They will be spammed every round. Even though blade ward is not A5E, it is still available
What is your opinion about this ability altogether as well?

you can't really spam them every round because they're prof bonus times per rest. at higher levels if you only have 1 or 2 fights a day, yeah, ok, then it'll get spammed, but by that point you probably have so many ways of generating advantage that "bonus action to true strike" is a failsafe if anything.

the only other a5e spell you might get any use out of with this would be resistance, and...i don't think that'd be broken here.

Ops missed that prof times a day thing. That certainly limits it to a certain degree. I can also see bladeward being a very good candidate, specially for gish types

In effect is, a lot more limited but on a WIZARD class. But I missed the really important limitation of prof times a day, that makes it very reasonable with any cantrip I can think of. Unless I miss some important iteration.
