And yet plenty of people think of half-elves and half-orcs as making the game more inclusive, not less.I view inclusivity and removal hatespeech as ethical and apolitical.

I agree to remove multispecies would be less inclusive. And yet plenty of people think of half-elves and half-orcs as making the game more inclusive, not less.
Those seem awkward. Better to come up with a new term I think.I agree to remove multispecies would be less inclusive.
However, to remove the term "half" is an improvement. "Human-Elf" and "Elf-Human" are fine.
Honestly, I think this bit right here is a completely separate issue. I like what pathfinder 2e has done with planetouched, where it's a template which can be applied to any species.dragonborn/tieflings
I mean, the term used for irl hybrids is simply combining the names. The order of the combination depending on which parent is which species. Liger/Tigon. Grolar/Pizzly.Those seem awkward. Better to come up with a new term I think.
To say "Human-Elf" seems equally awkward to "Fighter-Rogue" or "Paladin-Sorcerer".Those seem awkward. Better to come up with a new term I think.
Hence an entirely new term. People aren't animals.I mean, the term used for irl hybrids is simply combining the names. The order of the combination depending on which parent is which species. Liger/Tigon. Grolar/Pizzly.
But I suspect that 'Helf/Elmen' and 'Horc/Ormen' might be offensive.
I have never seen the term "human-elf" used in a D&D context by anyone other than you.To say "Human-Elf" seems equally awkward to "Fighter-Rogue" or "Paladin-Sorcerer".
"Human-Elf" is normal D&D nomenclature for a "multi".
Actually, it would be "Fighter/Rogue" and "Paladin/Sorcerer" with a slash.
I guess, to say "Drow Human/Elf" is fine.
That is because D&D previously used the problematic term "half".I have never seen the term "human-elf" used in a D&D context by anyone other than you.
Technically, humans are animals.Hence an entirely new term. People aren't animals.
