What is the best chain fast food restaurant?

Nice, I been meaning to get down there to Burnsville Dreamers for Battletech. Big group of Alpha Strikers meet on Wed. Hard to get out of work and roll down there.

Also, Taco Johns never should have given up trademark on Taco Tuesday!!!
Burnsville Dreamer's Vault is where my current gaming table first started playing 4 years ago. :) That's the closest FLGS to me, but unfortunately they don't carry much PF2e stuff so I usually just go up to the Source every other month or so.

The tacos at Taco Johns are nothing special, but man potato oles are addicting.

I have a PF1 group online. Though, I run Battletech on Thursdays at The Source.

Nobody goes for the Tacos. It's all about the potato oles!

Unfortunately, my experiences (with In-and-Out while in LA were awful.

Yeah, they had plenty of staff. However, that made it even more bothersome that it took so long for a simple order.

I would have been okay with slower service if the flood was good.
How did you have slow service at In-N-Out, they run like clockwork in my experiwnce?

With the thin burger and bland taste, it was like there wasn't even a burger between the bread at all. I was confused about how such a greasy burger could have so little taste.

Later, I learned from my Cali friends that you need to order from the secret menu or whatever. I dunno. If you like it, you like it.

For me, if you're a burger place and I have to jump through hoops to maybe get an okay burger, I don't understand how that serves my needs as a customer.
I never order off the secret menu, except sometimes I get the Lettuce wrap, just a double cheeseburger with all the veggies. The paddy is a 1/12 ponder, so yes to get a quarter pounders worth of meat you would need a triple cheeseburger it turns out. But I only just learned that this afternoon.

When I was in SoCal for business in May, I got to eat at a Del Taco for the first time in 20 years. Not as varied a menu as it used to have (I loved getting rice and refried beans with my meals way back when), but still a pretty good fast food taco.
Del Taco isn't going anywhere, but they definitely are still trying to figure out exactly what their menu is. They take some big swings every few years and then walk them back suddenly. Still, overall quality of the food is very high, for fast food Mexican (vastly better than Taco Bell, obviously).

Right, but in either establishment you still walk in the door, walk up to a counter, point at the different ingredients you want to be enrobed in bread, pay, and then take a seat. I don't see how one is "fast food" and the other is "fast casual."
It's an industry term, usually denoting a longer time until you get your food, higher price and, in theory, higher quality food. Baja Fresh, which is probably the most similar to fast food when it shows up on your table, is dramatically better than anything one could get at Taco Bell, for instance.

Your experience is very atypical. Like, that was a fake In-N-Out run as a front for the mob atypical.

Maybe so. Maybe it was a cultural thing unique to LA. I'm not sure.

From this list, McDonald's might be the only thing I would rank worse, due to literally causing me to be physically ill. Panda Express would round out my bottom 3.

I agree with others that Sonic is usually good. Del Taco is alright.

BK's spicy chicken snack wrap was much better than I expected.
