OK so I got 25 boosts plus some of my unboosted prompts have finished.
I've been trying to make a portrait of one of my
Mad Mage PCs, who is an African-looking gold dwarf. He has a
sentinel shield, which is described as having an eye on it. DALL-E seems to like putting the eye everywhere
except on the shield!
It also didn't want to make the dwarf be dark-skinned until I said "African-looking" in the prompt.
Here's my first go:
Full length view. Drogul is a bald, bearded male gold dwarf. Gold dwarves look like north Africans. He wears enchanted plate armor with geometric designs. He has an enchanted battleaxe, a necklace of magic prayer beads, and a magic shield with an eye on it. There is a stormy aura around him. Background is a dark dungeon corridor. Gritty comic book style.
Not at all what I wanted!
So here was my revised prompt:
Full length view, bald bearded broad-nosed dark-skinned male dwarf. The dwarf wears blocky geometric golden enchanted plate armor. He carries a blocky, geometric enchanted battle axe. There is an eye on his magic shield. There is a stormy aura around him as he strides boldly down a dark dungeon corridor towards the camera, his boots crunching on debris. Gritty comic book style.
Better but still not quite right. His skin is still light, and he's got eyes on his belt or his knee pad (!) and so on. It also didn't include the stormy aura. The styling/shape of the armor is more or less what I want, though.
Next I tried:
Full length view, wide shot, bald bearded African-looking broad-nosed chocolate-skinned male dwarf with static electricity in his beard. The dwarf wears blocky geometric golden enchanted plate armor. He carries a blocky, geometric enchanted battle axe. He has a shield strapped to his back. He strides boldly down a dark dungeon corridor towards the camera, his boots crunching on debris. Gritty comic book style.
Note that I have not changed the art style in the prompt!
WTF?! Only one of those is comic book style. I'm not sure what the others are. And what happened to his armor? Why does it look like it was built in Minecraft? And I guess I'll have to give up on the shield. At least it got the African-looking part right!
I will have to try again.

These are really cool but again, not comic book style. Not sure what about the prompt is over-riding that. Might try moving the art style to the beginning. Also, as you can see, I am continuing to have inconsistent results with the "full length view".
