A wild wolf knows he'll eat every pineapple he meets until the last.I like eating pineapple because it's a contest between two living beings to see who will digest whom first. So far I've always won.

I wouldn't expect anyone outside of the United States to have heard of the Downey, Jr. let alone remembered him. Those who do remember him here, remember him as a pioneer of trash television paving the way for the likes of Jerry Springer and Rush Limbaugh (Downey had a radio show too). His television show only lasted a few years and it's been off the air for more than 30 years at this point. Plus he's been dead for more than twenty years at this point.I'm 53. Never heard of the guy. But then again, I'm Australian. He maybe never made it over here. <shrug emoji>

I still remember standing ash trays in malls and smoking sections on air planes and restaurantsI remember he smoked everywhere, non-stop. The only bit of his show I remember was one where a person was advocating for leaglizing marijuana (this was back in 80's maybe early 90s!) and he made it sound like end of the world. When the person said maybe the government should ban smoking because it’s bad for you, he went ballistic. Sadly, he was cursing the tobacco industry when he died of lung cancer.
Oh yeah its amazing how much its changed in my lifetime. I remember aluminum toss away ash trays at fast food joints. Wasnt as bad as the 50-60s where the dentist smoked while working on your teeth, but still unbelievable by todays standards.I barely remember him and I posted the gif. He was one of those faces you saw in the media a lot, or heard your mom complain about, but I don’t actually recall seeing any of his shows. I do remember that period though when there were shows like his or Donahue and Geraldo

Ditto. I hadn't thought of him in years, and I went off on a Wikipedia tangent a few short years ago and learned that he'd been dead for a while. The Morten Downey, Jr. Show was only on for about three seasons from like 1987-1990. I certainly wasn't a regular watcher, but once in a while I'd catch some of it on late night television.I barely remember him and I posted the gif. I went to a flea market a few years back and saw these odd rectangular glass containers with indentations on the corners and it took me a second to remember those were ashtrays.Oh yeah its amazing how much its changed in my lifetime. I'm over, and I don't.Does anyone under 40 know who Morton Downey, Jr. was?
Eh... but Rowdy Roddy Piper (the other guy in that video) was a wrestling legend.Does anyone under 40 know who Morton Downey, Jr. was?
