Oh it's simply because they can learn new spells, though they need to both say the correct words and use the correct wand motions to cast them (unless they're really skilled and can perform wandless magic). This confuses me.![]()
I was thinking this one, but either one is good.Probably one of the annoying ones.

Yeah. They have to learn the motions and words like wizards, not sorcerers, but they don't have books or memorization after that. Or slots. They can pretty much cast magic forever it seems like.Oh it's simply because they can learn new spells, though they need to both say the correct words and use the correct wand motions to cast them (unless they're really skilled and can perform wandless magic).
potterverse wizards get their magic from their bloodlines and are stronger based on talent not intelligence. Intelligence just allows you to know how to cast spells.Yeah. Both of these are wrong.potterverse wizards get their magic from their bloodlines and are stronger based on talent not intelligence. Intelligence just allows you to know how to cast spells.
Which is all of them if you spend the time to learn them and add them to your book. Some are too high level for you, though, so you need to master lower level spells first. But only the spells you "know" aka your spells known can you do the motions and chant without screwing up.
Nothing is attuned. It's entirely how smart you are and your ability to remember the words(verbal D&D wizardry) and ability to learn the motions(somatic D&D wizardry), while using a wand(D&D focus). And for higher magic, you have to be more attune to the spell to do it correctly (hence why 99% of potterverse wizards suck at fighting. You need to like combat, abuse, killing, or an element that can be offensively used to get good at any of the good combat spells)
Pretty much, yeah. There's no cost to casting spells, and while I guess you could get tired after awhile, any Wizard combat is going to involve tons of debuffs and damaging spells flying around like crazy. In this respect HP Wizards are absolutely bonkers compared to their D&D counterparts. Technically creating new spells is risky and dangerous, but when you have centuries of spells to draw upon, the only real limitation is your ability to learn and remember the darned things.Yeah. They have to learn the motions and words like wizards, not sorcerers, but they don't have books or memorization after that. Or slots. They can pretty much cast magic forever it seems like.
Although Hermione proves you can be a very powerful Wizard without having any bloodline whatsoever.potterverse wizards get their magic from their bloodlines and are stronger based on talent not intelligence. Intelligence just allows you to know how to cast spells.

And very clearly due to her intelligence and ability to learn.Although Hermione proves you can be a very powerful Wizard without having any bloodline whatsoever.
