I didn't give an arbitrary point
the beginning of DDB is arbitrary, you did not make a case for why it has to be that point over any other

So relating that to a human again, if I take anything away you did not possess at birth already, that is perfectly ok. Somehow that does not improve things…

It is 55/year or 4.58 per month. It is fairly inexpensive.
And in 2010, Netflix's streaming cost $7.99, and now, to get equivalent performance for 2024, it'll cost you $22.99, or even you want to argue, $15.49. They're going to increase it, and they'll probably come out with some bolt-ons to up the cost further.

It's pretty rude and crappy because they'll be getting access before other people who paid for the same content are getting it, which is a bad double-standard. That's crappy whoever does it, in whatever context. It's just a little bit of greed on the behalf of Beyond. I did predict them doing this well over a year ago, note, so I can't say I'm surprised. Even you seem to agree that it's crappy but for some reason you seem to think it being "normal" means it's not crappy? That's a little confusing.
Let's just be honest. People getting it early are beta testers who will find all the bugs early so that other folks do not have to deal with them.

I can now do a digital-only preorder, get them early, and support my game store, and share with my players.

(In fact, the Master tier requirement does prod people towards game stores who get it early).

Cheers,
Merric
This is what I like best about it it. The previous arrangement (early access only if you got the digital & physical bundle) disincentivized folks to buy the physical book from their FLGS. My preference is to get only the digital version on DNDBeyond and, if I want the physical book at all, to get it from my FLGS. I now don't miss out on early access for doing that, since I have the Master sub.

No, I don't think so.

There won't be anything messed-up, and certainly nothing is going to change functionality-wise.

This isn't a videogame. Note that my master sub extends past September, despite it being currently cancelled, so I will be benefiting from this, if I buy the PHB online (which I probably will - let's be real).

They keep pushing DDB more and more and people will keep making excuses for them.
I mean, how else can I get a book two weeks early, go to a game store and buy it off the shelf?

Oh, wait.

This is just wishful thinking. :ROFLMAO:
