The kitchen table. I've had so many ideas for my campaigns when I sat at the table and flipped my RPG books.

Seriously, the castles of Sintra in Portugal are a great source of inspiration for me. We visited the Quinta da Regalia castle in 2014 and it was such a wonderful day.

Just got back from some Alaskan hikes. If you ever need a Dwarven valley of place where a white dragon lives - it's there! Here is one of our hikes over Crow Pass. This view is from the middle of the pass, looking down and up respectively.

We went down the underground spiral staircase, there are grottos and ponds. It's magical. I read in the pamphlet there was a secret passage under the garden's chapel. I used it to sneak on my wife and whispered a gentle 'backstab' in her ear. We laughed so hard. I showed her the 'secret' tunnel afterwards.

In Budapest, we loved visiting the Labirintus, under the castle. It has the perfect 'dungeon crawl' vibe.

Really, just hiking anywhere does it for me, but hiking in a new place really does it!

I recently spent some time on the east coast of Newfoundland, and hoo boy! It's basically endless rocky, jagged coasts dominated by cliffs, and in some of those cliffs are caves!
