I'm not sure how many bard levels Elan has, but if he has at least 12 he should have access to Song of Freedom, letting him cast Break Enchantment which can reverse a petrification effect. Even if he doesn't, Durkan should have it, though he might have to hold off until tomorrow to prepare it.

Elan cross classed a bit into Daring Swordsman, so he's likely running a bit behind on bard song unlocks.
