Again, you're assuming that they could know. It's easier said than done. In any case carry on blaming WotC for everything that goes wrong with the supply chain with zero evidence that it was even possible to foresee the risks involved.

This is why whenever I play or use a product that was created by Wizards of the Coast, I make sure to wag my finger at it at the beginning so the product knows it's been a bad, bad boy.

WoTC has no control over a printer botching a print job.

However, what they can control is PR and coming up with a plan to (at some point) deliver the product for which customers have already paid.

This post on DDB is from 4 days ago, and it makes no mention of any pre-orders being canceled. In fact, it says they are being delivered sooner than expected (on the same days as the regular covers)! Curious.
