Spoilers Agatha All Along discussion

OK, I have a theory … hear me out :)

Could this series be the beginning of a redemption arc for Agatha?

Here is why I’m thinking it … in the comics, Agatha was a nanny / governess to Franklin Richards, son of Reed and Sue Richards of the Fantastic Four. Agatha helped them with Franklin’s growing power and acted as kind of a mentor to Franklin.

Now that the Fantastic Four are fully back in the MCU and a Fantastic Four movie is officially on the horizon which by all reports will have Reed and Sue Richards already married and Franklin is already born, you have to wonder if the plan is to have Agatha fill a similar roll with Franklin in the MCU as she has in the comics.

I’m just spitballing, but it feels like this could be a possibility ….

I'm enjoying the relationship between Agatha and Billy.
I think like Wanda, deep down Billy is a kind person, so we'll see if Agatha corrupts him in the last few episodes.

I thought they might depict things more from Agatha's perspective in a way that shows a lot of her reputation is built on misinformation or bias. I feel there was an element of that last week in Agatha's trial where we find out her mother had always told her that she's been evil since she was born.

I might be wrong on this.
I figure we'll get an Agatha (maybe Agatha and Rio) flashback much like we just got with Billy.

There was a bit in one of the trailers where Billy (I think) asks her "Why do you let people think this way about you?" or something to the effect that makes me think there may be additional back history that doesn't make her as clearly villainous as we're given to believe (though obviously there's still a good chunk of that).

"survived"
Remember that the end of Wandavision had her pouring over the Darkhold, while the voices of her children seemed to call to her from whatever netherworld they'd returned to. They clearly didn't survive as typical corporeal entities in our world.

Sooooo. Now we have to reinterpret that scene, don't we? Because at least one of those kids wasn't in any netherworld...

I wonder whether if everyone comes back to life at the end that will mean something for poor William Kaplan too. Probably not I guess, but maybe.

I would guess probably not. The other members of the coven died on the road. William Kaplan died years ago, in the real world. And the Road, like Tahiti, is a magical place. :)

Genre/thematic awareness suggests that Agatha will have to somehow deal with those she has killed - the members of the coven may play metaphorical stand-in for them.

And, honestly, you don't get Patti LuPone to have her just die in mud. You just don't.

Well, the Fantastic Four movie is rumored to be a 1960s period piece. That makes her being Franklin's governess awkward. I mean, sure, time travel, but still awkward for anything that isn't really core to the plot.
