Looking at the label in more detail, it looks like it came from GamesQuest who are based in the UK. I don’t know if that means GQ serves UK orders only, or also cover their EU orders, too.

So, technically it was bought local to me rather than international. But Free League’s operation is smooth, either way.

I was curious since I would potentially be ordering from EU-Land. I still want to pick up a hard copy of the Bestiary and Path of Glory.

You may enjoy this video from Knights of the Last Call. Derik is the TTRPG veteran who loves all sorts of games: d20, PbtA, FU, YZE, etc. Bob is a relative TTRPG newcomer. But it was Bob who became the enthusiast for Dragonbane, and his enthusiasm was infectious. This video is from around 11 months ago. Bob is still running Dragonbane games.

Interesting. Usually I find watching other people play RPGs to be worse than watching fingernails grow. But maybe it’s a good way to get a sense of how a game plays before buying it.

I’m the same. Except for Critical Role. I’m mostly watching reviews and other random stuff about Dragonbane. The linked video is just a long hype session, not an actual play.

The video is Derik and Bob talking about Dragonbane as a game for two plus hours: e.g., their experiences playing the game, how the game works, the philosophy of its game design, what they like about it, and how it compares with other TTRPGs. There is no actual play involved.

KoLC have a number of videos where they talk about TTRPG design philosophy and deep dives, particularly non-5e D&D games. (Which are all reasons why their subscriber count tends to be low. )

If you want an actual play, I would potentially suggest The Weekly Scroll who run The Secret of the Dragon Emperor from the box set, though skip Session 0. Session 1 jumps pretty quickly into combat with the usual "goblins attack" scenario.
