Also, someone in the YouTube comments mentioned that they were excited to see "the slaymate". I haven't heard any word about that monster being in this new book; has anyone else heard of it?
I know the slaymate was in previous editions (3.5?), but I didn't expect it to come forward.

I don't think he is. The back side seems to be hard, I think the front pages are just lifted up and the cover is off screen.

I found it a little amusing that they just come out and say one of the appeal of the undead is there is no doubt that they're the bad guy. i.e. They exist for the PCs to smash.

I love the art...and it is way more graphic than I expected. That ghoul has really got his teeth into his meal.

WotC went hard with their undead art. Good for them. I really like it. Undead are featuring pretty big in my current campaign, so I'm excited.

Don’t get excited for that. It’s likely just internal pages he printed for the video presentation. I doubt they plan to sell a paperback version.

Oh, I've missed the Slaymate of the Month from Monsterboy. I'm a little surprised WotC was willing to go in that direction, but I'm not going to complain.
