Am I the only one that's bugged the three core angels are "deva, planetar and solar" when it could've been "stellar, planetar and solar", keeping with the theme of "heavenly bodies", and the fact that the deva used to be known as the "astral deva", "astral" meaning "pertaining to stars."

Heck err...Heavens I was hoping with the families talk to get a Lunar and a Metear for low level angels.

There were also the Monadic and Movanic Deva that were lesser than the Astral Deva.

Wait does that include Giant Eagles?

Because that means Druids lose one of their best flying wildshape options.

I like that sapient giant animals are now celestials - makes sense to me.

Might use a few as celestials, cool concept.

Will leave most of them as nature spirits in my campaign.

I get that, but the Giant category also exists and is not the Beast category.

Ok… I guess that makes some sense, but sucks for anyone who doesn’t want to use the great wheel cosmology…

IMO, they should given them an option, similar to the Empyrean, so that one of these Giant Beastz could be either Celestial or Fey.

yes, in my view nature spirits = celestials as there is no real equivalent in D&D currently. I guess they could have gone Fey.

celestials as a term leans too far towards "good" for my version of "neutral" nature spirits, but I hear yah.

Your thoughts make me want to create new campaign, but I'm too old for that.

Giant Eagle who uses People logic and follows Nature's Law = Celestial

Giant Eagle who uses Birb logic and follows Bird Law = Fey
