D&D 5E Question for folks who use D&D Beyond: How well does it work with the new rules?

Now that the MM is out for some, I am curious if there is a mechanism in the Beyond implementation that makes it easy to apply a species template to an NPC statblock (to make a drow tough, or whatever).

I don't use Beyond, so it doesn't affect me, but I was curious because implementing such a thing would actually be a real pro-GM move.
It sure would! There’s a lot of stuff that would make DMs’ lives easier through Beyond but nope, we basically have to use the same backend pseudo-coding system that the devs use. It’s esoteric and not at all user-friendly.

In addition to being able to apply templates to existing stat blocks, I’d also love it if you could just choose a few traits / attacks and have the system do the math (and figure out the CR) for you. That would be great!

Someone elsewhere mentioned they can no longer access 2014 spells on the DnDBeyond character sheet even with legacy content checked off and 2014 rules checked off in the options menu. I tried it and sure enough they seem to be right: I could only pull up 2024 spells in the character sheet itself.

My daughter has been using D&D Beyond for years, but our main Thursday night group has only just started doing so with the 2024 rules. So far, things seem to be working pretty well.
I'm also setting up the characters on Roll20 for those weeks we have to be remote (due to illness, etc). And there are definite differences in how the two different environments are implementing some rules - with D&D Beyond generally doing it better. Now, that's using the 2024 character sheet in builder mode and going through the level-ups. I'm hoping Roll20 makes some fixes...

That’s concerning! I’ll have to check it myself when I get home.

Has anyone said anything about it on the DDB forums?

I've just checked the campaign that I'm in and I can see all the legacy spells so far.

I checked on pc and mobile and my 2014 character sheet still displays 2014 spells (and 2014 + 2024 under Known Spells). Is this issue only for newly created character sheets?
