I run a weekly game at the FLGS. Currently, The Fantasy Trip.
I am surprised to learn that this looks like it is in print/distro again!

As someone who is at Conventions all the time (running the multi-publisher Compose Dream Games RPG booth), it's common for me to run more convention games than any other category in a year.
I think convention games were first, then games at FLGS, then home games last year. I think I did one online game in 2024. I ran and played less than I would have like last year mind you.

SJ got the rights back via the Copyright Recovery Act, back in 2017. He then changed it from metric/SI to Imperial. the contents of AM and AW got merged into ITL, so the new ITL is essentially standalone. Also, new talents don't require raising IQ to get the slots. A few other tweaks (unarmed combat gets revised a bit,for example). So, it's been rezzed for more years than its first run lasted.

I am a little surprised at how few GMs run at conventions.
It's not easy to switch from campaign mode to the demo mode.

Many find the combination of total unknown players, time pressure, and the frequent need to teach the game, a bit too much stress.
I found the 3 hour slots at C3 too short – both for the one I ran, and the ones I played.
