The In Memoriam thread seems to be more for short announcements and emojis rather discussion so let me take a moment to give a fuller rendition of my feelings: What The Actual naughty word?

We don’t always know what’s going on in someone’s life. The news came completely out of the blue for me. 39 is young.

She apparently had a liver transplant. I mean, some people want to live private lives and not share that stuff so this stuff comes like a shock when it happens.

This hits me hard. Considering she's not even half a year older than me, she's probably the first big celebrity death I can think of someone who I, parasocially if nothing else, grew up with. Harriet the Spy, Buffy, hell, even Eurotrip were pretty formative for me.

My thoughts go out to her friends and family. I hope that she's found peace.

Shoot. She seemed a nice kid back when I was already a grownup.

Everyone deserves a long, comfortable life. Those who brighten others’ lives especially so.

This is gonna sound coarse but she wasn’t Buffy. If her sister really features that heavily, you can recast. That is a thing that happens.

It sounds like the rights-holders have been gung-ho for a while. I hadn't heard anywhere that Dawn was going to be involved in the new series. I do imagine this hits SMG pretty hard, though.

Just wait until you get to my age, when you watch a show or movie I loved during my younger years and look up the actor to see what they are doing now and they are all dead... :/
