Shadowdark Arcane Library Western Reaches KS

A Venn diagram of what's in the Setting books vs what's in the zines:

This is very helpful, thanks for sharing.

Going for the Western Reaches Core Set (the two new books in the same style as the core rulebook, plus the 3 new zines). Partially because I can't really afford the fancier sets and I like the zine format a lot.

Edit: backer 409, and I went over as soon as the email popped up in my inbox! Whoah.
2nd Edit: 3 zines, not 4. Whut? LOL

Backer 720, also went for the Core Set (New 2 books+zines) and not go for the fancier sets as Shipping to EU is backbreaking. Did add the new premium core rulebook though! I love how the core rulebook is just a complete game in one book.

I like the way the deluxe slipcase looks, but it will annoy me when the inevitable 7-9 issues of the zine come out.. plus I have 1-3 from the initial Kickstarter so probably going with just the Western Reaches books and the 3 new zines. Don't know if I would use the spell cards and such. I'm trying to cut down on backing campaigns for stuff I will never use and then going for higher tiers with even more stuff I won't use.

I do kind of want to buy a second book since I am the only one at my table that owns one and having a second one to pass around would be nice.. hmm.

For a moment I was tempted to get the spell cards, but the way Shadowdark's spell descriptions are so concise and tight (compared with other games cough 5e D&D cough) I don't think that they're necessary for me.

I'm a bit confused about the tiers and pricing, the slipcover level is only $20 more at $149 than the two hardcovers and three paperback zines, but you get all six zines in hardcover and the two books? I noticed in the add-on page the slipcover is shown at $169. It seems as if the slipcover price is incorrect.

It may be, but it's also the case the the markup goes down as you move up the tiers. The high tiers are essentially wholesale prices (as Kelsey explained it).
