Shadowdark Arcane Library Western Reaches KS

Sorely tempted to get the slipcase set, but I'm going to refrain. It's more than surpassed it's funding, and I can always pick up a copy of the book if maybe not the set later.

A Venn diagram of what's in the Setting books vs what's in the zines:

This is helpful, but boy, it underscores how much groups are going to feel incentivized to get it all. If I just get the new Cursed Scrolls, because I'm not in the market for a setting, I will 100% be hearing from players who desperately want to play a half-elf and whatever the new players guide classes are. (I presume the kobold is the other ancestry in the players guide.)

Ideally, all of this new player character content will also go into Shadowdarklings.net as well.

This is just based on my personal vibes but I think most rounds of Shadowdark will be one of these

1)
DM owns the core rule book, class handouts (every book/zine comes with PDFs that is conveniently A5 and can be doubled up in landscape mode to A4.) Players at most will only have quickstart player's guide or a printed out spell list and only access to supplemental classes if offered by the DM.

2)
DM owns the core rule book, dedicated player owns supplemental material. Player shows DM supplemental material (which is most likely just 1-2 pages anyway) and uses it, if they approve (not everything is setting-appropriate).

I think the chance that players will
1) know that Half-Elf exists without
2) anyone owning any of the material
will be low.

I love how Kickstarter doesn't update the total while the tab is in the background. So when I go to check on the campaign I see the old number, then after a couple seconds it flies up by $100,000.
