I say kids, but that is the 12-22 middle/high school group and college students that come home for the summer. This is likely the target audience.

Target audience is 3rd party content creators, not play groups looking for free game rules. Weeks implies 2-7 weeks, because at 8 weeks+ they'd say months, while they'd never say "about a month" or "2 weeks after" because that would lock them into a timeframe people would be mad at when they miss. Weeks is just vague enough to give them almost 2 months after release and still fit the definition.

for the SRD? I doubt that, that sounds more like either the books of Free Basic Rules, which are out already

There's a conversation on the DnD Beyond forums that includes LaTia saying that they are "still on track to release within weeks" of the 2025 Monster Manual.

Her consistent phrasing and explanation of weeks makes it seem less than a month away (as in less than two months after the Monster Manual).
