For pdfs, I have an RPG folder, and then broken up by letter. I have several special folders: Anthologies; D&D; Games I'm playing or running; Games I'm creating; Larps; My podcast stuff; Roll20. Inside each letter, a game gets a folder if it has more than a file or two associated with it. Otherwise it just floats in the letter. [edited to add - I think this organization by letter was something I picked up here on ENWorld, but have no idea who it was]

Despite having GMed and played RPGs for 45 years, my collection of RPG books is small. Once I'm done with an RPG, I sell it. If I had kept everything (books, miniatures) I bought since 1980, my 10'x12' gaming room would be unusable.

My PDF collection is also small. It used to be huge, but I realized I was hoarding useless material and it was cut by 75%.
