D&D 5E The books I used for 5E game prep this week (in pictures) [+]

This thread has a very simple premise. I will be posting pics of the books I consulted for the upcoming session(s) for either of my D&D 5E games. We only play each of these games every 3 to 5 weeks and I tend to prep enough for 2 to 3 sessions at a time, so this thread won't necessarily be updated every week, it is just that I tend to start prepping about 5 days out from the next session I need to prep for, so it is about a week of prep.

My plan is to post these book pics without comment, but if anyone does have a question about how I used a particular book, I will do my best to answer it. That said, please do note that this is a "+" thread, so if you all you want to do is comment about how terrible a book I am using is and/or how I am a terrible person for using it, that's nice, but start your own thread.

I used the Flind.

edit: I know 5e created a version, but thats way to strong for my use, and I like the flind's flind-bar (nunchuks) better than the flail.

Personally, I found it rather uneven. There's some gems in there, but there's also a lot of stinkers.

That certainly is a good one. I just run games online and I don't actually use books anymore. I do drag and drop tokens from various monster manuals, that's the closest thing to using a book. If I had to GUESS, I have been using this recently and adapting monsters from it to 5e. Which is mostly just reskinning one of the gazillion statblocks I already have.

Personally, I find even the stinkiest stinker to be more inspiring to make something interesting from that most other monster books I’ve encountered (from WotC/TSR at least).

But anyway this thread is not about arguing the merits of these books (as I suggested in the OP) but just about sharing what we do use. (Or at least what I use, even if no one else participated )
