D&D General DALL·E 3 does amazing D&D art

Also made a version of Cid from Final Fantasy because... I mean why not

I like it but it prompts a totally unrelated question. What's with those massive tools? I see it here, and also in Agatha Heterodyne (from Girl Genius comic), associated with engineering/steampunk?. Are there really a use for oversized wrench like these? Or is it just a derivation from huge sword = huge wrench?

@ezo Enough please. Post AI generated art or comment on the art that is posted or start a thread elsewhere to discuss you views on what is or is not funny. No one in this thread wants to discuss what makes you smile.

Mod Note"
I am pretty sure nobody in this thread wants to be mocked with emojis, either. So, if you are so concerned with what people in the thread want, then don't do that, either.

Such tools do exist:

The long handle means you get a lot of leverage. Steam engines and associated machinery tends to be big, so it makes sense that you need big tools to work on them.

Video has been a thing recently, too. Might not be useful for our goal of illustrating our RPG games because frankly, the models one can use at home are very limited (but some could rent server time if they really wanted, after all).

What people who know what they do, and have more compute, do :

I'll stick to pictures for some time...

Stylized steampunk-ish, yeah. Implies huge creations / things that need giant tools. And they double as weapons.
Neat, was there a specific art style specified with these?
Interestingly, all I told it was that these were characters for D&D, and it gave extremely similar styles. I've done many characters since then and this seems to be the "D&D" style for chat gpt.

Yeah, that will be my core as well, but after that video is a possibility I'm willing to look at in some particular situations. But keep in mind that you don't have to run everything yourself, OpenAI has Sora for example, and there are other services that have pretty good models for video (Runaway AI).

Aaracokra warrior (cant spell it for the life of me)

Prompt:

A realistic 3D-rendered Aarakocra warrior standing tall in detailed silver-and-black armor, with lifelike eagle features, textured feathers, and a sharp beak. Rendered in a cinematic anime-inspired style similar to Genshin Impact or Tales of Arise cutscenes. High-fidelity materials with soft reflections on armor, realistic feather shading, dramatic ambient occlusion. Sharp silhouette lighting with rim glow, stormy clouds in the background. Clean digital finish with no cartoon outlines. Smooth cel-shading with subtle gradients—stylized but grounded.

Great work but thanks so much for including the prompt. I wish more people in the thread remembered to do this.
