Good Television Mystery Series

I just finished The Residency on Netflix it’s a bit like Columbo meets clue. Stylish and entertaining but very convoluted to keep the audience guessing. Though I enjoyed watching it.

Slow Horses is amazing, though not a traditional mystery/cop show.

I recently watched Ludwig: David Mitchell playing an introverted puzzle setter who pretends to be his police detective twin brother to investigate his disappearance.

In a similar gently unusual/comic/British vein, Magpie Murders and Moonflower Murders are entertaining, with some modern day and some scenes from an in-universe crime novelist's 1950s storyline which, of course, overlaps with the current mystery.

Oh, and Shardlake was an interesting Tudor mystery. It's a shame they only made one season.

last one I enjoyed was Miss Fishers Murder Mysteries, set in 1920s Melbourne, Australia. its a decade old now...
I was going to mention that one. It was a fun watch and with a Ks their were able to pay for the special effects of the movie that caps the series.

They did a follow-up with her niece, Peregrine Fisher, Ms Fisher's Modern Murder Mysteries set in the 50-60s. The costumes and modern architecture are a nice bonus.

Wanted (2016) is excellent.

My wife loved Dead to Me. Xena (Lucy Lawless) has Murder is My Life, shot in Australia.

Mystery Road (2018-present) is one of my favourite crime shows.
