In advance of Gen Con 2025, Paizo, Titan Forge, and MyMiniFactory announced a partnership to produce STLs and print-on-demand (POD) miniatures for Pathfinder and Starfinder. These miniatures, sculpted by Titan Forge based on art from Paizo Inc., will be available for purchase as STLs on My Mini Factory’s online marketplace, with physical print on demand offerings available from Titan Forge, starting July 31st, 2025.

“We’re thrilled to work with Paizo to bring their awesome character and creature designs to life through 3D modeling,” said Titan Forge co-founder and CEO Roman Łakomiak, “With the boom of growth in home 3D printing, we look forward to seeing more tables playing with our high-quality miniatures—whether you print them at home, or order them physically!”

As a launch point for the partnership, the first miniatures available will be the six Starfinder Second Edition iconic characters, the six pre-generated characters from Starfinder Murder in Metal City, the akashic dragon from the cover of Starfinder Player Core, two bonus Starfinder miniatures, and a variety of Andoran and Chelaxian troops to support Pathfinder Battlecry! In addition to being available digitally, these miniatures will also be available as print-on-demand figures via Titan Forge.

“Working with Titan Forge and MyMiniFactory has been amazing. As engaged partners, they let us sync up miniature releases with relevant products (like Battlecry!) in a world where more and more people are getting involved in home 3D printing,” said Paizo’s Associate Publisher, Thurston Hillman, “If you know me, you know I have a vast ‘pile of shame’ of miniatures in my hobby room. Getting to partner with Titan Forge and MyMiniFactory lets me accelerate that problem. I look forward to other Paizo fans and general miniature hobbyists joining me!”

Titan Forge will be releasing further models for Pathfinder and Starfinder on the MyMiniFactory platform and their own store throughout 2025 and beyond.

I mean, most D&D minis can be produced without WotC’s permission anyway.

I could find an STL for most D&D creatures right now.
Yes and no. High quality STLs of the current "official" monsters designs are much less common IME. Can you get something that is close - sure, but it is not the real thing. The same is true for "official" PF2 monsters.

However, that is not the point really. It is just a good idea to offer this option.

I disagree that you can’t get high quality STLs of the “official” monsters, depending on how weird and niche the monster is.

But I totally agree that more options are fantastic.

You want pretty close to official depiction of WotC Monsters (and some Pathfinder and Kobold Press)? MZ4250 is what you need and it is free, because he is a mensch. He also has a Patreon and occasionally streams his sculpting on Twitch.

I might be an outlier here, but how strong is the desire to have official D&D or PF2 monsters in miniature form? I realize that might sound rich coming from a guy with the Wizkid's Beholder as his avatar here, but even though I paint tons of miniatures, miniatures I use for D&D, I don't think it's possible for me to care less about whether they're official representations or not. I'm just as happy using a dragon produced by Reaper or Games Workshop as I am one produced for D&D by Wizkids.

The tough part about have a generic fantasy game is just about anyone can produce a miniature that'll work just fine for it.

This. I have used coins, slugs, glass beads, etc to represent encounter critters. My red T-Rex D&D collectable purchased for $5 on the secondary market has seen many uses as a dragon, giant, or at least once a T-Rex. Most players would much rather have a close match to how they visualize their character then a close match to an encounter critter. Most encounter critters are a one and done thing. But the character mini is there for the entire campaign.

But more options are almost always better. Looking forward to seeing what gets released.

I have no idea. My desire only comes from whether or not I like the monster design. For example, I like most of the new 2024 dragon designs. I've already pre-order the black and red minis. Now, if they offered STLs of those designs I could print them to whatever scale I wanted and even kit-bash them into my own custom Tiamat!
