Wish they'd ban it here.So we can turn it to silent.
How do you turn a tag to silent? So we can turn it to silent.
No, just discussions intentionally focused around AI -- the AI GM thread, the various "look how Ai did this bad thing" threads, etc. Because there isn't a tag or subforum, there is no way to mute them without muting content you (okay, i) would rather not mute.Would it be for any topic that concerns/includes AI? What do you have in mind?
“How can I re-engineer Xenforo so that it can block specific threads and thread tags?”Unfortunately, while you can sort threads through tags (if you are in subforums), you can't (AFAIK?) specifically omit a single tag.
One of the problems with the hosting software (Xenforo) is that you can't just ignore threads. Like @Reynard I've recently had to block a user that I would not have blocked just to remove a thread (I'll unblock when the thread dies down).
And while I'd like to say that the topic of "AI" will die down, I don't think it will. In addition, it appears to be very relevant to our hobby in a number of different ways, and seems to pop up repeatedly in current news stories involving our hobby.
Not to mention that it often involves, um, passionate discussion.
I feel like we used to be able to ignore tags. I am sure that back when I turned a few off that were producing threads I was not keen on. Did that change or am I having a stroke?Unfortunately, while you can sort threads through tags (if you are in subforums), you can't (AFAIK?) specifically omit a single tag.

There is an ignore prefix section in preferences but those seem to be mainly around games and systems though some on them I’ve never seen come up in the forums at all. But those must be more top level items in the forum list than a Spoiler tag.I feel like we used to be able to ignore tags.
