I just had a vision of elves brawling over some BS. It was glorious!

By This Axe: The beaten and battered remains of a mercenary company have been forced to retreat from battle and, as they retreat through territory newly conquered by the enemy, looking for a safe haven in which to lick their wounds, they stumble across a small village ruled by a monstrous outlaw and his cruel bandits. This presents the mercenaries with a chance at redemption. Do they match steel against the bandits and their outlaw overlord or do they turn tail and run, earning a reputation as failures and cowards?

I have this deranged idea rattling around in my head of elves being sent by Santa Claus to assassinate some celebrity or political figure because that's what some dying child wants as their very special Christmas wish. The PCs could either be the elves or the celebrity's security detail
