Spoilers are used a lot in PBP or to condense large amounts of information.

That's how it is normally done - not everyone is always up-to-date, but still may have some non-plot commentary.

That how we’ve been doing it here for years. It works just fine.

The point is more that a non-spoiler thread shouldn't have spoilers in it at all, concealed or otherwise.

I doubt it will matter to the bigger picture, but I'm curious to know what tech doesn't work with the tag.

The default browser on my phone doesn't display anything inside [SPOILER] tags.
So I switched to a different browser that does work.
