I wish they had just given the Averngersverse a rest and turned back to the X-Men.

I think that the multiverse saga is supposed to bring mutants into the MCU, and a reboot of the X-men will be a major focus for the next few years.

Sure, but it is still weighed down by all the multiverse nonsense. I would have rather seen a clean start like FF.

Not sure if I will hear more between now and then, so mark it on your calendar. Some movies sneak up on you and you never hear about them.

I'm guessing that Steve's son will be a clone of him, so they look the same.

My guess is that we will not be able to avoid hearing about this movie over the next year.

Now that Steve and Peggy have a kid I think it could make for an interesting and fruitful story someday to explore how that kid turns out to be a shrimp like their dad and how they deal with that some other way than super soldier serum.

I'll echo others that I wish they let good, completed character arcs lie.

But then "The Avengerz" from Thunderbolts just annoyed me, so maybe I'm part of the problem.

They seesaw back and forth between "no other heroes exist on the planet or would respond to this world-shattering event" like Eternals, and "everything is tied to an existing character".

There's plenty of fertile ground between them, with plenty of heroes who just haven't been introduced yet but aren't directly tied to the legacy of one of the few that the MCU has focused on.

To be honest, this trailer made me less want to see the movie. My only hope that "Steve Rogers will Return" is a complete twist, and it's not fighting-shape Captain America but with a new name because he gave that to Sam, but something else. I hadn't heard about whatever leak, so that may simply not be what's been revealed, but one can hope.

It might be a bit of a fakeout. Maybe Avengers: Doomsday begins with Steve Rogers and family, and Doom shows up and blasts them. Then we see Thor get the same treatment, and finally Tony Stark, then the screen indicates that all this is taking place on Earth 1111 or whatever.

On a more serious note, the line at the end of the trailer does say "Steve Rogers" will return, not "Captain America."

Well Captain America is live and well in the MCU. He's not called Steve Rogers.

Captain Dad-Bod? It's pretty hard to be a biker-rebel (cough cough) with a bike named "Triumph" when you have to change diapers and buy groceries.
