Since there's a teaser trailer for it, that would be an enormous failure to fire Chekhov's Gun. That baby's gonna have some significance - you can count on it.

I think as a shot in a teaser, it may just be making it clear that Steve Rogers built a life for himself. Quite possibly in a timeline that Steve is forced to permanently leave for the greater good.

However, if you are correct, note that "significant" and "actually played as a meaningful, realized character" are not the same thing. The kid can be a McGuffin, effectively an object that moves the plot.

In the comics, Steve doesn't have any kids that have turned into permanent characters - the kids he has had have all been in alternate timelines and "What Ifs" that haven't then entered the main comics continuity.

I don’t know…I enjoyed F4 a lot, and thought Thunderbolts was a successful outing. But that’s just me.

F4 was an excellent movie, and as a huge fan of the team I really wanted it to be. It was IMO at least as good as many, if not most of the pre-Endgame era films.

They were ok . I like Pedro and the cast but they didn’t have enough and unlike say avengers or captain America I had no desire to rewatch

Sebastian Stan is an ok actor but he doesn’t have same screen presence as Chris Evan’s

Personal preference is totally valid . I’m the opposite with FF4…it’s the one I’ve actually managed to sit through in its entirety more than once. I guess it just really resonated with me.

Totally agree with this. I think one of its strengths was that they let it be its own thing (being in an alternate earth). So much so, that I don’t want to see them moved somehow to Earth 616…I want them to stay on their own world. It’s a much better place

But I think the sense of family they managed to create really worked to sell the movie. But again, that’s just my take.

There hasn't been an MCU movie that I can think of that didn't have stars that can and have carried films.

The MCU's problems lie elsewhere.

No, it isn't just you. I liked them as well.
If I go back over the past five years, I found most of their movie offerings worth the time I spent on them, though a couple I didn't bother to see in theaters.

I don’t think the latest Marvel films have been bad, I think it’s the audience has become jaded. My partner really liked F4, but I was more meh. But then I’ve always found the F4 a bit twee. It was the other way round with Thunderbolts.
