D&D 5E (2024) Predict WotC's 2026 D&D releases

Same.

I am struggling to think of anything they can release that would excite me.
I don’t think that has anything to do with WotC though. Playing the same game in the same genre week in week out for ten years has to get old, no matter what.

I guess I would be excited by the Exodus tabletop game if it looked like WotC were going to take it seriously.

It’s a matter of page count, not how they are packaged.
Yeah, it's not like anyone is offended by the slipcase, other than perhaps worrying how much it adds to the price and whether each individual feels that it's worth it. It might have also necessitated a certain, possibly reduced page count, at least to offset its expense. At any rate, It's nice, but not worth giving up pages for (assuming that happened at all).

Finished Stranger Things over the holiday break, and sure seems like they are teeing up another adventure in the mists of Ravenloft. I’m hoping a new adventure though. They’ve done so many refreshes of the original adventure, including stuff like the Beadle and Grimm’s sets and their own Curse of Strahd “Revamped” (heh). They certainly have an excuse to update it for the 2024 rules but I can’t think they can go back to that well too often particularly if they want to simultaneously claim backwards compatibility for the new rules.

they want to simultaneously claim backwards compatibility for the new rules.
The 2024 books are out and people have bought them. They don't need to peddle that line any more.

The only reason to not re-release their greatest hits under 2024 revamps is to avoid upsetting people whose money they already got years ago. And by putting out these new books, all of the new players -- who again, are large in number -- will get to hear that "one of the best-loved D&D books is coming back!" which is a great message to have out there, floating around the internet.

I don't think we're going to see most 2014 books re-released -- I don't think anyone's clamoring from Out of the Abyss Once Again -- but I would definitely expect Ravenloft for sure and possibly seeing Tales from the Yawning Portal stripped for parts and re-released in more substantial forms for 2024.
