I couldn't find any discussion of this with a search, but I am super stoked for this in February. I've not read the novel, so I only have the trailers to go on. And they're very entertaining. Particularly this one:
I liked Splinter, too, but tonally Cold Storage seems to lean more into horror humor. I'm a huge fan of bio-horror, as well, and this looks like it nails that genre. I also like all three of the leads (Neeson is always strong and he recently proved that he can do comedy, Keery has proved that he has some real acting chops in Stranger Things, and Campbell was great in Barbarian).
I remember a blurb about this or maybe i read the tvtropes page for the book i don't recall lol but it does seem like Jdrakeh said to lean into horror humor.
