Sounds like 48x72 is a must for those of us with deteriorating eyesight, eh?
Yep. I actually have the 4-part map that came in Dragon Magazine hanging on a wall where we used to play in my house, but that room & table has since been relegated to storage. But I do believe this new map has much more locations on it.
I didnt look st what it was. Navigating the shop was difficult.

I can print A1 and A2 cheaper here. Im not sure what tgevquslity would be like though..
Id imagine that regardless of the dpi, it will probably be small text and hard to read if printed on A1 or A2. The Banner size was 42" x 72" I believe and vinyl but buying a digital copy and getting it printed at say a FedEx Office and Print store may be just as expensive if not more.

Yes, this does look more comprehensive. I ended up parting with my copies of that dragon map because I ended up needing to find more comprehensive regional maps when I was DMing.

And I don't have any wall space for D&D stuff, unfortunately. When I'm rich though!!!

I think up until that time that was the most comprehensive continent map but there were lots of small local reginal maps from various supplements. Only problem was some were fold-out maps, others were printed in books, and they were of varying quality and kind of unwieldy. Over the years I came to the conclusion that players don't really pay much attention to that level of detail except to give maps a cursory glance. I use them more as a DM tool when writing adventures and rarely use them in play much anymore. But they are fun to look at.

Ive been buying PDFs. Players pay attention to A4 handouts espicially in colour.

They don't care to much about poster sized maps.

I got Anauroch printed and laminated A2 size. Looks good

Thats what I do too, if I really need a map for the table, I'll just scan it or take a picture with my phone then print it.

Which map of Anaurach did you print and laminate? I used to go to a local print shop and get maps printed and laminated but the prices have really gone up in the last 10 years, which was probably the last time I checked.

One from the 1991 set.

$3.50 usd pdf, $6 approx to print, $7 to laminate. They can only do up to A1 though.

A4 is 27 cents in colour.

That's a good price. IIRC, last time I was going to have something printed and laminated it was calculated by the square foot. I'm pretty sure the worker at FedEx didn't know how to calculate sq footage and gave me a really high quote. I didn't feel like arguing and just left.

Yeah I got stuff priced up years ago. Poor resolution on the printed maps made it not viable.

I’ve bought stuff from Mike shop before but even then, if I click on the link, switch to USD and shipping then select the one I want, it’s in the cart and I click check out. What issue are people running into early in the conversation?
