Trailer Avengers: Doomsday | Only in Theaters December 18, 2026

It was already going off the rails before that. This was their chance to reset. The only thing good in Quantumania was Kang, in all honesty. And considering the depth (or lack of) what happened with him, I think they could have gone on with him if it was working at that time.
Kang was a boring generic one note villain in Quantumania. It’s only that the rest of the movie was so terrible…

The problem was the character, the actor just provided the motivation to change direction.

I quite liked Wakanda Forever - it adapted well to Boseman’s death, and Atlantis is well worked out and visually interesting. I think it’s worth watching.
Agreed, though I felt a bit let down by the big climactic battle. It's far from the only superhero movie with that issue, though.

Otherwise it's quite a cool movie. Lots of emotional weight and resonance memorializing T'Challa and by extension Boseman.

Jonathan Majors is quietly menacing in Quantumania, and really interesting in Loki season 2, but that movie has conceptual problems and story problems. That compounded with Major's harassment and assault convictions to sour the whole thing. Recasting and continuing to focus on Kang would have made Majors' appearances in the MCU required viewing, which could be pretty creepy.

Felt the same. It was pretty enjoyable until the end of the attack on Wakanda. Petered out after that, with the final battle being a bit of a wet firecracker.

On one hand I'm going to say yes, because Abslantis will not be denied. On the other hand, I have a feeling Doomsday will have quite a lot of other stuff going on. Maybe there'll be some heated looks and Namor and Sue can get up to something in a later movie.
What??

Do you really think people would want that?

Sue is married.

I know some go for adultery in movies, but that's not really something I think a majority really want to go watch.

Yeah, I'd be fine with a bit of flirting but having Sue cheat on Reed would be a step too far for me. That doesn't feel like it would be in keeping with her portrayal in the most recent FF movie. (I haven't watched the older FF movies nor have I read any of the comics.)
