When The Thunderbolts trailers had the bad guy as just a black shape, I thought they were disguising his identity. I didn't realize until I was watching the movie that that was what actually he looked like in those moments!

Kang is generally said to be descended from Reed’s dad Nathaniel, but it’s also been implied he’s descended from Doom and from Kristoff. Assuming either of the latter two ever have biological children, it’s perfectly possible for all three to be his ancestors, of course, especially given how much time they and their families/entourages all spend together.

IIRC, Reed's dad is canonically a real piece of work, so it's takes little to imagine Reed and Victor sharing that dad.
