While I think it’s clear that hiring another actor - literally any other suitable actor - would probably have made for a better scene and film and would probably have been cheaper, what I think is weird is that they publicised it happening.
It’s framed as an “aren’t we relatable normal people” snippet but I don’t think it’ll go down that way. In these days of social media that doesn’t seem wise, and it doesn’t seem wise to put your 13yo in the public eye for people to have opinions about her. Unless they’re trying to get out in front of something, it seems an odd choice and not very self-aware.
