Damn it- I went looking and didn’t see it.Again? Someone reported his death a couple pages back.
On the one hand, well, crap. On the other hand, he had a really good run.
I am this many years old where 77 feels like it’s maybe a few years short of a good run.On the one hand, well, crap. On the other hand, he had a really good run.
Seems pretty young to me, but I think that @prabe was referring to the quality of his run, not the quantity.I am this many years old where 77 feels like it’s maybe a few years short of a good run.![]()
Well, he left a lot of good stuff, so quantity matters in that way. I did intend to be commenting on the duration, but that shouldn't be interpreted as "more wouldn't be better" or "people in their seventies should die and get out of the way" or anything like that. Of course, I'm twenty-something years younger than that, and there are times I feel decrepit--something I don't expect to get better with age--so my sense of things might be skewed.Seems pretty young to me, but I think that @prabe was referring to the quality of his run, not the quantity.
