Thing is, Cthulu is public domain and won't offend any real world religions.I’mma be real, I kind of hate the idea of Cthulhu being in this book. I’m fine with him getting a D&D stat block, I just don’t want more freaking crossovers. Let Ravenloft be Ravenloft and Cthulhu by Torchlight be Cthulhu by Torchlight. We don’t need to throw every cool thing into a blender together, we can enjoy them both separately, for the things that make them distinct from each other, not in spite of them.
I hope they also do not repeat a lot of it…I'd wager good money they aren't going to invalidate anything from VRGR.

‘would’ being the operative word here. Not that many people will buy it and the overlap between those that do and those that have VRG is probably greater than your numbers suggest.Even if a million people bought Van Richten's and the low end of active players is half of those who use Beyond, that would mean up to five million people could purchase this book and not see repetitive stuff.
I don't think it will repeat a whole lot, barring the updated mechanics and actual Dark Lords. I mean, Cthululu already shows they are adding new ideas to the Domains of Dread...I hope they also do not repeat a lot of it…
You don't think selling to the non-completionist makes sense?‘would’ being the operative word here. Not that many people will buy it and the overlap between those that do and those that have VRG is probably greater than your numbers suggest.
More importantly that don’t they have something new to offer rather than recycling the same content 5 years later again…
it does, that is why I do not want the repeats… unless I were a completionist, why would I rebuy stuffYou don't think selling to the non-completionist makes sense?
