Sure, neither do I, but I can look at the evidence and make inferences.I DON'T KNOW.
Sure, but why is the adventure separate? The cost suggests they could easily be combined into one book - and that would actually be more profitable since fewer covers equals cheaper printing costs. I would suggest it was done to make the book setting agnostic. All I was saying was that they can be, and are meant to be, available to be used in the Adventure. Which is written for FR
Probably because they think people Wil stomach paying $80 for two smaller books better than $80 for one larger book.Sure, neither do I, but I can look at the evidence and make inferences.

Because WotC makes more money by selling you two products for $50 and $30 than one for $60Sure, but why is the adventure separate? Full size book would be 80, not 60. So no.Because WotC makes more money by selling you two products for $50 and $30 than one for $60
Possibly, or possibly because they think more people will buy a generic splat book than yet another FR setting book.Probably because they think people Wil stomach paying $80 for two smaller books better than $80 for one larger book.
no it would not, it probably would still be $60, certainly not $80. You said yourself production cost would be lower, so it should be less than $80 simply due to that. When you look at the past, the book cost $50 regardless of whether it had 200 pages or 320 pages. With the price increase to $60, there is a high likelihood that the combined book would still cost $60Full size book would be 80, not 60. So no.
It is co-branded with a Forgotten Realms book already, and WotC has decades of proof at this point that making specifically Forgotten Realms products that can be repurposed easily will get them the most money.Possibly, or possibly because they think more people will buy a generic splat book than yet another FR setting book.
