Ravenloft: The Horrors Within

Ravenloft: The Horrors Within Announced, Release Date Scheduled for June 2026

DL TV series is still in development hell, however, there are novels this year, this time with the writers and WotC on the same page. And at least one computer game of course.
I have no idea about the state of the show. Margaret Weis said there would be news in August about her meeting at WotC that also included Joe Mangianello. With him there, I would assume it is about the show.

Adding a few DL characters to an idle clicker is an absolute non-event for me, certainly nothing that warrants a tie-in, and the new trilogy is about Huma, so not really something to tie into either

It is not a true spoiler when it is only speculation or only a theory but my opinion is because marketing reasons Hasbro/WotC wants the lore or background from Innistrad and Duskmourn to be reused in Ravenloft 5.5. Even these could be "unlocked" in DMGuilds like Ravenloft spin-offs.

I love speculations but we haven't got enough information about Dragonlance. Here the doubts is if books and cinematographic productions to be different continuities. If the choice is the production will work like a reboot of the novels then there would be more creative freedom.

After the events of "Reality Fracture" in Magic: Gathering we could see "changes" with the vampire bloodlines of Innnistrad. Maybe some characters from Magic: the Gathering could become dark lords or visitors of "weekend in the hell".

* With a right redesign the Inhumanoids (a fogortten Hasbro franchise about creepy kaiju-like monsters) could be added to Ravenloft.

We know is hasn’t started casting yet. So if it happens at all it’s still a fair few years away, and isn’t something that factors in to WotC’s planning either way. Unlike Idle Champions.
I agree with it being a few years away, which is why I do not expect anything DL in 2026 or even really 2027.

These are not the first D&D characters in it, did they do anything for Idle Champions before?

Opposite causality: putting Dragonlance material so heavily into their weirdly popular idle game suggests they are using that as the tie in to something else.
ah, that might make more sense, I assumed that would be more based on general popularity and what hasn’t been added yet…

Still not expecting anything DL this year but hey, if we get a setting book and the AP updated as one big adventure, I will be pleasantly surprised ;)

The shows that are under development are Forgotten Realms (Netflix with Levy-Crevello, early writing Thuber) and BG3 (Mavin with Perkins, Llarian advising). There is no Dragonlance under development

My take: it’s highly unlikely to happen at all. But books? Definitely happening.

I don’t play it, but it quite often seems to tie into what WotC are doing.
