I was introduced to the game MANY years ago and have stuck with it through many incarnations and editions. I'm running a long-time campaign that was created way back in the last century & am using the Pathfinder rules system with my own home-brewed magic system. I've incorporated info from MANY sources including the Arduin Grimoire system created by David Hargrave and others. My reffing philosophy is pretty simple; "If it's not fun, then why are we doing it?". The game has to be fun, exciting, engaging & immersive for BOTH players AND the DM. Otherwise, there is any number of other activities and/or things everyone involved could do. Therefore, it compels me to make my game as good as I can.
