I got this impression as well - with Cain claiming that she lost over 700 crew in the first few minutes of the attack I can see them gladly impressing any civilian personnel that they came across into service. Just grab the personnel, blow up the civilian ship or trash it for parts, and keep on...

just as a quick aside - YESTERDAY I got the official "thanks, but no thanks" rejection letter back in my SASE. at least this one came home - the one I sent them for Maiden of Pain never returned... :( so it goes.
