    VTT Mapping

Big fan of CC3, and your right it does have a steep curve. I still think of myself as a newbie and I've had it for years. I've not tried Arkenforge I'll have to give it a try. I do enjoy Inkarnate though. I'll have to try out the Virtual Graph Paper as well. I don't mind some mapping, but I...

Your top 5 sci-fi movies (and why)

Being a big fan of film noir, that was the reason I liked it. Most of my friends who aren't into film noir prefer it without, and I can watch either, but something about that narration tickles that part of my brain.

Your top 5 sci-fi movies (and why)

In no particular order. Blade Runner - my first introduction to the cyberpunk genre that I can remember. I'm one of the strange ones that really loved the narration that was taken out of the later cuts. Star Wars - while Trek on the small screen came first, SW in the cinema forever changed my 8...

    VTT Mapping

I've heard good things about Owlbear rodeo. Does it allow for the players to draw the map as I describe the corridors or rooms to them? I'm not looking for fancy just the ability for the players to map out the "dungeon" on virtual graph paper.

    What was your 2nd RPG?

So I'm enjoying my day off watching Youtube videos about gaming history and the like, and prepping for Saturday's game and a question popped into my mind. What was your 2nd RPG? I started with D&D B/X in 1980, and then jumped into Advanced pretty quickly after that, never going past the expert...

    VTT Mapping

So I'm looking for a mapping solution. My home group moved to online gaming years ago, before Covid even for a variety of reasons. Some of us have moved states away, or to a different city, and scheduling has become much easier since folks don't have to leave their home or arrange sitters. Where...

Which "Tactical" TTRPG Would Work Best As An X-Com Like?

For something like this I would go with an older game that came out during the D20 era of the early 2000's and that would be Crafty Game's Classic Spycraft or Spycraft 2.0 both would do what you are looking for easily. You can find the entire product line on DriveThruRpg pretty cheap. My group...

    Modern Action RPGs

This does look like a lot fun. It has that modern pulpy adventure vibe i like, stuff like Modesty Blaise, Jonny Quest, or even a bit earlier with the Doc Savage, and the like.

    Modern Action RPGs

Thanks for all the replies. It's looking like Outgunned seems to be the favorite. I've heard of it so I'll have to check it out. Wushu looks really cool, but it's not something I think I could get most of my players onboard with a bit to narrative for them. They say want something with some...

    Modern Action RPGs

So I've got a itch to run something modern for my players, think ghost recon, gi joe, superspies, stuff like that. Now way back in the day I'd fall back to Spycraft for stuff like that, but time and age have most of my players not wanting something so crunch heavy as Spycraft was, and we do a...

Level Up (A5E) Starting a Level Up Game

Thanks for all the advice. I probably should've said I've had all 3 core books for a while and I personally love the Level Up system, at least from the reading, it's now time to roll the dice on the system now. I was looking for a good premade module so my players could kick the tires on the...

Level Up (A5E) Starting a Level Up Game

So I'm thinking of running a Level Up game for my players. We are all experienced gamers and I'm personally missing a little more crunch in my 5e games and Level Up looks it'll scratch that itch. We are scattered geographically so we mostly play on a VTT, Fantasy Grounds, and Foundry. When...

Nominate your MOST ANTICIPATED RPG of 2024

I'm looking forward to The Secret World a rpg based off the MMO. The MMO might have been mediocre but the lore I thought was top notch. I think it's in it's final editing pass and has to pass approval at Funcom, so hopefully it'll be early 2024. The Secret World RPG
