I was introduced to D&D in high school by a friend, and shortly after I became frustrated with the lack of real heroic adventures my group was making and decided to learn how to DM. By default I've DMed for most of the games I've been in since I was the only one willing to do it, and I do enjoy making the adventures and making the game come alive.

I am very supportive of Pathfinder, as I feel it picks up where 3.5 left off. I appreciate 4e for a few of it's qualities (I've read most of the books), but I am no longer a fan of WotC as a company and 4e really is not the game for me.

I prefer role playing groups, because I feel it is a heavily underestimated aspect of the game in most circles and it is a lot of fun. I want to master the "art" of DMing, which I honestly think is fully appreciated by role players and less so by power gamers.

D&D is primarily a hobby of mine, but what time I can afford to commit to it I try to make count for something. Therefor I prefer to find a serious group of players who are also willing to commit the time and make an effort to make the game fun.
