Is this a cheese? Draconic feats from Complete Arcane

Not to mention that you don't need to learn the spell to begin with. That extra known spel you save makes a good difference. Granted it works only on yourself, so it isn't as good as the spell, but combining that with the no action required part, the null cost to activate, and a handy ring of...

    AoO and Tripping Question

    It's in the Combat section.

Using a 2-Handed Weapon in One Hand

Nope, MG was revamped in CW. It doesn't allow you to use a two-handed weapon in one hand anymore, instead it lets you use a weapon one size category larger than you as if it was the same category (not taking away the -2 penalty, though).

Which monsters should not be counted for XP?

I only disagree about c); in that case, fighting through the horde of undead minions and only receiving XP for the necromancer himself would be very frustrating! And in d) I would only not consider it for XP purposes if the encounter had already officially started by the time the creatures were...

How much does a backpack hold?

Actually it must the same in both, this isn't the kind of thing that would be rev... WHAT?!? The table was removed from the 3.5 PHB too? What gives?? The answer I gave you was from the 3.0 PHB I had in hand... just as I procceeded to check the 3.5 edition to make sure the answer was correct, I...

How much does a backpack hold?

No, I meant a normal as in a "Medium" (human-sized) backpack. That is the official rule from the book, I don't have the slightest idea whether this holds true IRL. :)

How much does a backpack hold?

The table "Containers and Carriers" really seems to be missing in the SRD... which makes no sense. I can only assume it was an editing mistake. Anyway, a normal backpack holds 1 cu. ft.

Couple of questions for the masters

At least that's what I assumed... Though it wouldn't change the end result either way; if they can't be seen they can't be targeted, no matter how they are hiding.

    Regular vision

Auraseer: Ah, now I see your point. (weak pun intended) That wouldn't be too much hassle - either you give low-light vision to everyone who has darkvsion (not a terribly big deal, but an uncalled for boost to many creatures anyway) or you put it this way: elves have normal vision, humans have...

Hold the line and side step

No no, it's not a matter of the attack interrupting the charge at all; the problem here is, the charger must stop and attack as soon as he is in range of the target. But as soon as he does that, the Sidestep kicks in, and the target suddenly isn't there anymore. The charger's action is already...

Hold the line and side step

Though it doesn't spring the same problem as Drakeskull's proposed example: in your situation, the charge was directed at the wizard, who didn't stir at all. The fact that the guard was in the way and then moved out doesn't interfere with the charge, as far as I can see.

    Regular vision

(OK, this post was made quite redundant due to being typed offline 2 hours ago, but there we go anyway...) I don't quite get your argument, AuraSeer; no one is disputing that the Darkvision possessed by the orc is a superior kind of vision. Quite the contrary; we argue that, being the weakest...

Painful splattering aka Really Big Stuff Hurts

Couple of questions for the masters

I'm not a master by any chance, but I'll try my hand in your first question anyway: Yes, he does have to see the other Girallons. Relevant quote:

Silly rules question - any feat that just drives you batty?

Well, it happens. :) Speaking of Sword & Fist, I remember another ridiculous feat there, Dirty Fighting. Another case of requiring a full-round action for a paltry result, only useful if you plan on never going above 5th level. Even worse, they tried to fix it in the errata, but requiring...
