You feel better now Mark... I'm in error... whatever
I guess I'll run whatever post I have in mind past you in the future and then with your infinite wisdom you can let me know how you expect the thread to develop.
Internet communication sucks... and messageboard discussions are a...
Umm... where were you when I lived there??? Oh i see... middle TN... well I lived in Memphis for about 18 months and hated it... worst place in America, IMO.
I've lived in/around 3 major cities in my 28 years... Cleveland, Memphis, and Seattle.
But to answer your question I wouldn't move to...
Well this thread has taken an unfortuate turn...
No matter what you think of the show's message... whether Sorkin's drug use helped his writing or not... I was saying that this past epsoide was arguably the best of the season. The show's not for everybody and its not fantasy or sci-fi but I...
I know its not fantasy or sci-fi but just had to say that tonite's epsisode (3/24/2004) of West Wing reinforced to me how wonderful the show is. I must say at least one time per show, "Man this show is great" out loud. Even if no one is around.
One of the few things worth watching besides Home...
Krieg: I knew someone here would understand what I was looking for.
D+1: I never meant this to become a discussion on "alien sociological takes on death" but thanks for the reply. The last paragraph was very helpful, seriously.
Mark: I don't know quite what to say. I didn't mean to "vex" you...
every generation or so... so 20 years sounds about right...
I wasn't expecting many questions... I guess I didn't explain this in the right manner... I was hoping to get a few ideas as to what an elf would bring to a funeral as an offering no matter who it was as long as they qualified for...
I didn't say anything about the NPC on purpose... the focus in on the PCs not the NPC - as it should be...
It's also about the races they represent. The tradition wouldn't be about modifying the offerings to fit the departed instead every one who "qualifies" for this ceremony receives A, B, and...
Let's say an important NPC died... well-respected among all races. And there's a long-standing tradition that each race sends an ambassador to attend. Assuming its a standard D&D world...
What would an elf, dwarf and human bring??? What fits??? Anyone out there do anything similar???
Ever since 3.0 was released, and no matter the group, I've alternated. I think its vital to keep things fresh. Depending on how often you play... I've found the ideal setup is two weeks (campaign A) two weeks (campaign B). Also one game D&D based and the other not also helps. It provides a clear...
Well even tho this is fairly obvious, the PCs might be encouraged to learn what's happened to their familes or interests during last 15 years. Time went on and so would have the beautiful village girl who was involved with one of the PCs... now she's married to the PC's nemesis.
Also you could...
Agreed... but the problem with that is nearly everyone will say/feel that their posting habits are ok for the problem lies with everyone else...
Here's where I could say cliches like glass houses, and look in the mirror... but instead I'll just go read that post now :)
My group, recently recreated, is planning to play at the home of whomever is DMing... So that's me when I run my homebrew D&D and the home of another player when he starts his d20 mecha game.
Both places have good size dining rooms with tables large enough to support 6 people.
I'm looking for 1 more player. That would gives us 5 players plus the DM which I think is the perfect size for a group... given that people can and do miss sessions and that keeps the group viable.
We're beginning on Sat the 27th. I hope there's someone out looking to join a group. Drop me an...
