Just got into D&D as a creative tool for my writing. I must say that I think it has helped me get my creative juices flowing regardless what I'm writing. I've gotten lost for hours in D&D lore since I started looking into it. It is now a part of my life as a fantastic hobby. I haven't yet found a group nor have I had the experience of playing the game with others but look forward to the opportunity. Good Hunting Adventurers!
